Who are we?

Our company HOBES SLOVAKIA is a Slovak private limited liability company established (not privatised) in 1994 as a new entrepreneurship. It is located in Eastern Slovakia, at city of Trebišov.

Our company has three main production lines: assemblage of mortise door locks (from 1994), zinc-alloy die-casting line (from 1996) and manufacture of stainless steel garden furniture (from 2000).

We are a small, flexible engineering company with technical university background. We are experienced in co-operation with European companies (English, German, Czech, Hungarian, Danish, and Belgian etc.).

Our total turnover for 2007 reached 6 million EUR with 103 employees.

Our production philosophy

We stick to fulfilling our main slogan: "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing it well." So our aim is to manufacture good quality products at reasonably low production costs and in time, as our customers require.

We understand today's quickly changing needs of our customers and that is why we put stress on our flexibility. We value our customers' know-how and we guarantee no misuse of customers' tools and drawings used for production of their castings at us. We fully understand our customers' needs to minimise the tooling costs in preparing a new model of their products. That is why we focused our production to smaller die-casting machines as the smaller dies (one/two cavities) are much less expensive than the big dies used on big machines.

On the other hand we also understand the constant requirement on keeping our products competitive by making mass production on bigger machines. So we are able to offer also this option.

Our staff

Educational and skill level is high. The selection of the best people has been made solely based on the knowledge and skills of applicants. The continuous care for good working conditions is taken by our company. Together with the above-the-average wages it creates an high motivation and loyalty of the staff.
